The Slit is proud to present UNFILTERED, an exhibition celebrating the transformative voices of emerging photographers from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Iraq, Jordan, and New York City.

This event will showcase works created by participants of the Lens on Life Project, a nonprofit initiative that amplifies the voices of young individuals historically marginalized by systemic barriers including war, incarceration, homelessness and extreme poverty.

Through photography and digital literacy training, Lens on Life provides a platform for these youth to confront trauma, reclaim their personal narratives, and reimagine their futures, nurturing their potential to inspire social change and justice within their communities.
